CANDIDATE FOR LT. GOVERNOR,
ON THE VOTE TO RAISE UC TUITION FEES

“It’s unconscionable that we continue to balance the State’s budget woes on the backs of those who can afford it least. Raising these fees for students and parents is shortsighted—education must be the saving grace for the state.

California is already ranked 47th in the nation for our spending on education. How much lower can we go? We have to do better.”
