Six Days Before Primary Election, Endorsements Continue to Pile on for Janice Hahn’s Re-Election Campaign
SAN PEDRO, CA- Capitalizing on her continued momentum, today Congresswoman Janice Hahn picked up an endorsement from the Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers Association (LAAPOA), in her re-election campaign for California’s new 44th Congressional District.
In a letter sent to the Janice Hahn for Congress campaign, Marshall McClain, President of the Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers Association (LAAPOA) wrote the following:
“We appreciate your continued support of the Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers Association (LAAPOA) and the men and women of the Los Angeles Airport Police. I am happy to announce that you have earned our unanimous endorsement of your candidacy for United States Congress in California’s new Congressional District #44.
A LAAPOA endorsement is given only after careful consideration to those candidates exhibiting the finest qualifications and the highest commitment to public safety. Your strong advocacy for public safety, public employees and educational policies that have benefited your constituents, I am certain will transcend to the city of Los Angeles and help the region as a whole.
The Los Angeles Airport POA represents more than 420 police and firefighters.
The Los Angeles Airport Police is the fourth largest law enforcement agency in Los Angeles County, with more than 1,100 law enforcement, security and staff personnel. LAAPOA members take the endorsement process seriously and understand what it means to stand behind the right candidate for an elected office.
As our organization works to protect some of the busiest airports and surrounding communities in the nation by providing the best trained law enforcement and fire safety personnel. We know that you will continue to express your support for first responders who provide public safety for millions of travelers every year.
Congratulations on your endorsement from LAAPOA and the best of luck in your campaign.”
Congresswoman Hahn stated, “I am thankful for the support of the Los Angeles Airport Police Officers Association. Having this endorsement, as well as the endorsements of several other law enforcement groups, is a testament to my work and commitment to partnering with law enforcement agencies and ensuring that we keep the residents of our state and nation safe.”
