Classroom Teachers Side With Hahn Calling Her “Best Candidate to Fix Our Schools”
SAN PEDRO, CA- Seizing on the momentum following her landslide victory this past weekend at the CA Dem Party ‘Pre-Endorsement’ conference where she received a recommendation for the Party’s endorsement, today Congresswoman Hahn scored a major win by earning a highly coveted endorsement from the California Federation of Teachers (CFT)
“Classroom teachers need representatives in Washington who are willing to be their voice and stand up to the extreme slash and burn antics of the Tea Partyers in Congress,” said Josh Pechthalt, President of the California Federation of Teachers (CFT). “Congresswoman Janice Hahn understands that our education system can no longer afford the current barebones funding, reckless cuts and budget constraints placed on our schools. She’ll work hard to secure increased investments in our schools, protect teachers from further layoffs, shrink class sizes, and ensure that our kids get the best education possible. We believe she is the best candidate in this race to fix our schools, and that’s why we’re proud to endorse her for re-election.”

The California Federation of Teachers (CFT) is the statewide affiliate of the American Federation of Teachers. The CFT represents faculty and other school employees in public and private schools and colleges, from early childhood through higher education.
