JANICE HAHN CONTINUES TO BUILD SUPPORT IN COMPTON

Compton School Board Member Micah Ali Lauds Hahn, Asserts, “The Residents of California’s New 44th District would be Well Served to Have Her as Our Next Member of Congress”

SAN PEDRO, CA — Congresswoman Janice Hahn scored another victory today, which will send reverberations throughout California’s new 44th district, by winning another Compton-based endorsement, this one from Compton School Board Member Micah Ali, in her re-election campaign.

“In accordance with the ‘dream’ described by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we should not judge individuals by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. My enthusiastic endorsement of Janice Hahn is emblematic of Dr. King’s dream,” stated School Board Member Ali. “My family and the Hahn family share a rich spiritual connection, as members of the church of Christ. For this reason, I am confident she will be an exceptional partner and challenge those, who seek to reduce funding for public education. As a former classroom teacher, she understands the needs of students, teachers and classified employees. Compton students need a teacher like Congresswoman Janice Hahn in Washington, DC.”

In addition to his School Board service, he serves as Vice President of the Los Angeles County School Trustees Association. I am honored to consider him a friend and have his support,” said Congresswoman Hahn. “I plan on working closely with him on many education issues that help rebuild our schools, shrink class sizes, and hire more teachers.”
